Happy Fotter's Day!

Because of our beach trip, we had been away from Drew for SIX DAYS!!! That's the longest we've been away from each other in a very long time. When we got back from the beach, he was still down in Alexandria, LA for a sales meeting but he was coming home the next night! So Olivia and I decorated the dining room and had a party waiting for him when he got home. She even told him,
"Happy Fotter's Day!"

Grumbling Monkeys

Gran was sitting outside on the balcony this morning reading her devotional for the day, which I'm assuming was about grumbling... Or not grumbling, rather. Because she looked at Livy and said,
"Ok, Livy, we can't grumble today."
"Yea... We can't. Because its too hard for us. But, but... monkeys can!"

Hot Fudge Crabs

Livy went down on the beach tonight to go crab hunting with Gran and Aunt Lori. I wasn't feeling very good, so I stayed up in our room. When they got back, Livy was telling me all about it!
"Did you see any crabs?"
"Yes! We saw 4 crabs! And seashells too!"
"That's awesome Liv! What color were the crabs? Were they... pink?"
"Umm, nope."
"Were they... purple?"
"Umm, nope."
"Well, what color were they?"
"They matched the sand."
"That's right! You're so smart!"
"Yea, they looked like hot fudge."

LOL! I don't have a clue where she gets this stuff, but she's hilarious!

Breakfast At Shoney's

We got to Panama City around 8:30 Monday morning, and since we couldn't check into our hotel until 2pm, we had to find some things to do in the meantime. While we ate breakfast at Shoney's, Livy needed to use the potty. I took her to the restroom, she pottied, and when I was helping her wipe, her face was squished right up against my chest. Then I heard her say,
"Woo, sure is dark in here!"
I almost fell over laughing!

The Hang-On-der

Livy has this little plastic butterfly stool with removable legs. I bought it super cheap from Hobby Lobby, and it didn't take me long to figure out why! It topples over when she stands on it and the legs constantly fall out. She's always bringing me a leg to fix.
Tonight, she had it turned upside down in the living room floor with a baby blanket draped over it. I noticed that the butterfly piece had come off the top so I told her to take the stool to Daddy and he would fix it. She immediately said,
"No, I can't! It's my hang-on-der thing."
"It's your what?"
"My hang-on-der thing. My blanket is hangin on it!"
"Ohhh, hang-on-der thing... Because you're blanket is hanging on it! I gotcha!"

I love how her little mind works!

Polka Dot Pizza

It was Friday night, we had a house full of groceries that we couldn't eat (because they're all for the beach), so we decided to just order pizza. Olivia was a little cranky and super hungry! Drew opened his laptop to order the pizza online, and Livy had a meltdown! She didn't understand that we were in the process of getting the pizza ordered. She was so hungry! So I tried to explain it to her...
"Livy, Daddy is gonna order it on his computer, the restaurant is gonna cook it, and then they'll bring it to us. Ok?"
(Tears still rolling down her face) "Oh ok. Let me just put my cries on you..."
So then she starts rubbing her face in my chest, wiping her "cries" all over my shirt.
"What kind of pizza do you want?"
"I just want a really big polka dot pizza!"
...that would be pepperoni.

And the girl ate 4 pieces of pizza! Now granted, it was Dominoes thin crust pizza which isn't very big... But still, that's a lot for her!

Lean On Me

"Aww, Mama, you're tired?"
"Yea, a little bit."
"You can lay your head on my shoulder if you want to..."
(Can't say no to that! So I curled up with her...)
"See, I told ya you could! Ohh Mama, you're my favorite Megan!"

She is just so sweet and compassionate!

Dad, Where Are You?

The other night we were all laying in bed together watching a little college baseball. Livy is so used to watching her daddy play softball that she just automatically assumed he should've been out there on the field too...

"Dad, where are you?"
"What do you mean?"
"Where are you?"
"On the TV? I'm not on there baby. I'm laying right here beside you."
"Where are you on there?"
"I didn't play college baseball. I wish I did though..."
"Well you can play football a big one tonight at baseball."
"I can?"
"Yea. Last night."

I love how she always knows what she's trying to say, but it just doesn't quite make sense to us!
